Newly-inducted City Secretary, Saefullah, said the first thing he will handle is the absorption of the 2014 City Budget (APBD) which still low. Until this second semester, this year APBD is only absorbed for as much as 20 percent of total Rp 72 trillion.

“The work is hard and the home works are abundant. Perhaps I would concentrate first to the 2014 APBD absorption. I would like to go to ULP to ask and mapping the problems there. We’ll try to parse (the problems) and optimize (the solutions),” stated Saefullah at City Hall, Friday (7/11).

Moreover, Saefullah also told that he will do coordination with all regional working units (SKPD) that proposed for auctions in Jakarta Goods and Services Procurement Service Unit (ULP), and ask them to immediately complete the requirements needed. Thus, the 2014 APBD absorption could increase.

“The planning previously was not e-catalog-based, but the auction implementation is e-catalog-based. So, there should be hard work from the SKPDs to make details and explanations of their activities to fulfill auction requirements. This must be accelerated, because it is already mid-year and it affects to economic circular in the societies in Jakarta,” he uttered.

Regarding Jakarta Provincial Government’s target of the 2014 APBD absorption for as much as 97 percent, Saefullah cannot confirm yet whether it could be reached or not.

“I haven’t done mapping. Probably in a day or two we could know which targets that can be worked on and which can’t. We’ll collect data in the 2014 APBD and plan further,” he said.
